Gates of the Arctic National Park seeks an intern for summer 2015. The position will be based out of Fairbanks, Alaska.
This position will help inform understanding of past cultures of the central Brooks Range. Gates of the Arctic National Park is offering a paid internship for summer 2015 to develop a predictive model of snow patches with high potential for archaeological and paleoecological discoveries. The internship can include traditional landscape use interviews in Anaktuvuk Pass as well as fieldwork to test the model.
Applicants should have experience in geospatial modeling, analysis, and data management. Early-career graduate students and advanced undergraduates are encouraged to apply.
