Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve in southcentral Pennsylvania seeks applications from candidates holding a four-year degree or having completed junior year for a nine-month Environmental Education Internship. For more than 6,000 students each year, Strawberry Hill is the source of interactive and creative programs that bring children closer to nature on our 609 acre preserve. Interns learn environmental education best practices through several distinct program seasons, with topics ranging from freshwater ecology, terrestrial animals, and maple sugaring to team building. Training is intensive and hands-on. Interns will gain 200 hours of program delivery experience, plus understanding and implementation of state and federal education standards.
Avg. 35 hrs/wk. $900/month plus housing with utilities provided.
Adult and Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification required. Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a license required. A criminal background check is required for all staff working with youth.
