Great summer opporunity for students

Consider this great on-campus summer opportunity!

Hello Asian Studies and Environmental Studies,

Musselman Library is now recruiting students for our first ever Digital Scholarship Fellowship. This is a 10-week job that includes a $3500 stipend plus campus housing. We hope you will mention this to students who might be interested in this new opportunity!

Briefly: The Digital Scholarship Fellowship is a summer program for undergraduate fellows working on digital scholarship projects. We invite rising sophomores and rising juniors from any major or discipline to apply. Fellows learn digital scholarship skills and apply them to a public-facing, academic, digital project. Applicants may propose their own projects or be matched with a ready-made project involving library collections. Fellows share their learning experience during and after the summer and become mentors for the next group. We have openings for 3 fellows.

More information is available at http://www.gettysburg.edu/library/digital-scholarship/summer-fellows.dot

Applications are due on February 19. We are happy to discuss ideas with applicants before then, so that students can write the best possible application.

Please let me know if you have any questions. You can also feel free to send me names of students if you’d like me to personally encourage them to apply.

Thanks for considering! Have a great day, Janelle
